This memorial marker was originally installed in 1938 on the grounds of the Hoyle Historic Homestead in Dallas, Gaston County, North Carolina. It was subsequently moved to its current location at Kadesh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawndale, Cleveland County, North Carolina.
