Alexander James Lamison of Three Springs R.D. died at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, PA on Wednesday morning, November 19, 1958 at 11:30 o'clock. He had been admitted to the hospital one week prior to his death. Born on October 13, 1884, in Punxsutawney, he was a son of Thomas Robinson and Mary Jane (Holt) Lamison. He married Blanche Belle Harnish on March 2, 1916.
Mr. Lamison is survived by his wife and these children: Mrs. Raymond (Marguerite) Posluszny of Philadelphia, PA; Fred Lamison, Three Springs, PA; Robert Lamison, New Boston, Texas; and Mrs. William (Peggy Sioux) Craft, Pittsburgh, PA. A son, Alexander J. Lamison, Jr was killed September 26, 1942 while serving with the armed forces in World War II. A brother, Walter Lamison of Warren, Ohio, and three grandchildren also survive.
The deceased was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Lamison had been a resident of Patton until 1931, and during that time, for a period of 18 years, he worked as a diamond dit setter and driller for Hoffman Brothers. He also was employed as an electrical engineer for Millers Mines at Joller. He retired in 1949.
The funeral service will be at two o'clock on Saturday afternoon at Cherry Grove Church of God. The Rev. Paul O. Bell will officiate and burial will be made in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lamison home after 7 o'clock this Thursday evening until 11 a.m. Saturday at which time the body will be moved to the church. McClain's funeral service, Cassville.
