Frederick Harnish Lamison, 71, of Three Springs, PA died at 9:09 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 1993, in J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.

Born December 27, 1921, in Patton, he was the son of the late Alexander James and Blanche Harnish Lamison.

Mr. Lamison retired in 1985 from Mack Trucks Inc., Hagerstown, MD, after 22 years as a machinist. Prior to that, he worked for 17 years at Harbison-Walker Refractories, Mount Union.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Lamison served in the U.S. Army with the 1880th Aviation Engineers in China, Burma, and India.

A charter member of Cromwell United Bible Church, Mr. Lamison was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the board of trustees. He was also a member of Cromwell Lodge 572 F & AM, Altoona Consistory, Simpson-Hunt Post American Legion, Mount Union and Keystone Basha.

Surviving are Mr. Lamison's wife, Maxine Swartz, whom he married on June 28, 1947 at Shippensburg; two daughters, Polly Ann of York and Peggy Jane of Chambersburg; two sisters and a brother, Marguerite Posluszny of Lafayette Hill; Sioux Craft of Hillsboro, VA; and Robert of McConnellsburg. His brother Alexander James, Jr. preceded him in death.

Service was held on 26 July at 2 p.m. in Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. The Reverend Tex Dunbar officiated and burial was in Cherry Grove Cemetery, near Three Springs.

Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 26 July in the funeral home.

A Masonic service was conducted Sunday evening by Cromwell Lodge.
