Thomas R. Lamison, age 84 years, one of the best known residents of this section, passed away at the home of his son Alex Lamison, in Patton, Tuesday afternoon, April 3. Mr. Lamison had been visiting his son and family when he suffered a stroke of paralysis which caused his death.

Mr. Lamison was born in Bell Township on December 17, 1844. He was the son of William M. and Caroline (Robinson) Lamison. At the age of 18 years, he joined Company C, of the Pennsylvania Volunteers and served as a drummer boy in the Civil War. He was discharged in Pittsburgh in 1864 and immediately re-enlisted in Company C, 206th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers and had attained the rank of Corporal. At the end of the war, he was discharged in Richmond. Returning to this place, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Jane Holt, his wife, dying some years ago. Mr. Lamison spent his entire life in this vicinity where he was held in the highest esteem.

Mr. Lamison is survived by the following sons and daughters: William I. Lamison of Horatio; Mrs. Clara E. (John G.) North of Brookville; Walter T. Lamison of Warren, Ohio; Alexander J. Lamison of Patton; and Mrs. Ella A. Pyle of this city. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. George Gamble of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Samuel Barrett of Butler; John Lamison of Kittanning; and Joseph Lamison of Horatio.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella A. Pyle on South Gilpin Street. Internment was made in Circle Hill Cemetery.
