June P. Switzer, 73, of 833 Hiwatha Blvd, Syracuse, died Saturday, May 13, 2000 at St Joseph's Hospital Health Center.
She was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, Jul 7 1926, to Fred and Helen Backus Strong. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Norwich.
Survivors: Her husband of 52 years, James, Four daughters, Judy Husted of New Hampshire, Linda Dano of Pulaski, Karen Cooler and Ellen Weaver of South Carolina; eight sons, James Switzer of Central Square, Frank and Earl Switzer, both of Syracuse, Danny Switzer of Ilion, Steve Switzer of South Carolina, David (Switzer) Backus of Cayuta, Charles Switzer of Pulaski, Jack Switzer of Norwich; two sisters, Mona Vibbert of Fairport, and Freda Millspaugh of Montour Falls; 48 grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Glenn Switzer, and 2 step-brothers; William Bailey and Dannie Moore, and by a step-sister; Stella Carley.
Services: 11 A.M. Tuesday at Harter Funeral Home. Calling hours, 4 to 8 P.M. today at the funeral home, 9525 S. Main St., Brewerton. Burial: King Ferry Cemetery at a later date.
