Harvey Wilson Shriver was born in Clear Creek Township, Ashland County, Ohio, on Oct. 23, 1850, the fifth of six sons of David and Rebecca (Scott) Shriver.
A farmer, he never married and was living with his parents as late as 1880.
He passed away on Mar. 6, 1880, at the age of 79. He is buried in Ashland Cemetery.
