A BIOGRAPHY OF EBENEZER SCOTT SHRIVER, by Laurence Overmire (great nephew), genealogist and Shriver family historian, updated June 2020:

Ebenezer Scott Shriver was born in Clear Creek Township, Ashland County, Ohio, on December 22, 1838, the second of six sons of David and Rebecca (Scott) Shriver.

In October 1863, at the age of 25, he married Hanna Amy Percival, the daughter of Moses Cook and Mary (Wright) Percival. They had 6 children:
1) Unknown child (died in infancy)
2) Mary C. Shriver (1864-1955, m. Joseph Brock Donley)
3) Rebecca Maud Shriver (1865-1871)
4) David Cook Shriver (1872-1959, m. Grace May Barnes)
5) Nellie F. Shriver (1874-1882)
6) Charles Percival Shriver (1881-1962, m. Verda Chamberlain, Ethel Shaw)

Ebenezer was a farmer in Clear Creek Township, Ashland County, Ohio. He passed away on August 19, 1923, at the age of 84. His wife died three days later. Both are buried in Savannah Cemetery.
