Mrs Bena Marie Schroeder, 76, died at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Rest Haven in El Paso after an illness of a year.

Mrs Schroeder was born July 27, 1874, the daughter of Albert and Bernadine Saathoff Woltzen. She was married to Jacob Schroeder, March 4, 1903, in St Peter's Lutheran church west of Benson.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Henry of Secor; two daughters, Mrs Clara Redenius of Benson, and Mrs Mabel Bollinger of Washington; four brothers, Albert of Bowling Green, Ind., Elick and Edward Woltzen of Benson, and Heye Woltzen of Roanoke; four sisters, Mrs Rosie Hinrichs, Mrs Heimke Moritz and Mrs Hanna Tjaden, all of Benson, Mrs Fannie Moritz of Flanagan.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran church.
