Ocala - Lorena Faye (Smith) Adkins, 87, formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away August 1, 2008 at Legacy Hospice House, Ocala, FL. She was born in Greensburg, IN, June 24, 1921 to Omer and Margaret (Terrell) Smith in Greensburg, IN. She graduated in the class of 1939. She was married to Roy Adkins July 22, 1943 in Indianapolis and had just celebrated their 65th anniversary. Faye was formerly employed with Aetna Insurance (Cigna). Upon retirement they moved to Ocala, FL. In her spare time she volunteered in the office at Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Roy J. Adkins and one sister, Winnie Mae (Smith) Fromer, brother-in-law Charles Fromer. Also 3 nieces, Joann (Bower) Brown; Sierra (Fromer) Collins, Charla (Fromer) Simons and 2 nephews, Don Bower and Larry Bower. She was preceded in death by one sister, Alberta (Smith) Bower. Memorial service will be on Tuesday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, Hwy. 27 (110th Avenue) Ocala, FL with Pastor John Outlaw officiating.
