Roy J. Adkins 91, passed away at his residence in Greenwood on November 5, 2014. He retired from Lilly Industries in Indianapolis, where he was employed for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena "Faye" Adkins. He was a WWII veteran with service in the African, Middle Eastern, and European Theater Campaigns and had the Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster. Graveside services to bury his remains will be held at a future date in Ocala, Florida. Private arrangements entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care , Indianapolis.
