Rites for Alfred E. Flicker Held In Pierz Saturday

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz for Alfred Flicker, 1007 12th St. SW, Little Falls, who died of a heart attack Thursday in the home of his son Lyle, 821 - 23 Ave. N, So. St. Paul. Mr. Flicker, who was 59 at the time of his death, was born Aug. 25, 1905 a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Flicker. He farmed in the Pierz locality until moving to Little Falls in 1958.

He was married, on May 10, 1932, to Alvina Schmidtbauer who preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 1962.

He is survived by a son, Lyle, So. St. Paul, and four daughters, Yvonne and Phyllis, So. St. Paul, Mrs. Dennis Lee (Vernell) Nelson, Mankato, and Mrs. Joe (Lois) Prozinski Jr., Little Falls; and ten grandchlidren. Five sisters and four brothers also survive him. They are Mrs. Christ (Lena) Morrill, Pierz; Mrs. Jake (Verena) Langer, Pierz; Mrs. Frank (Louise) Preiner and Mrs. Herb (Leona) Langer, Virginia; Mrs. Frank (Theresa) Gruber, Genola; Joe, Frank and Henery, Pierz; and Leo, Little Falls.

The solemn requiem Mass was read by Rev. Robert Voigt. Pallbearers were six of his nephews, Floyd, Gerald, Melvin and Dennis Flicker, Billy Langer and Gene Gruber. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
