MRS. SAMUEL C. BAIRD

Sidney Jane Wilson was born at Elizabethtown, Pa., Jan. 21, 1840; departed this life November 2, 1927, at her home in Lincoln. At the age of fifteen she with her parents moved to Morning Sun, Iowa. Here she was later united in marriage to Samuel C. Baird who preceded her to the heavenly home nearly twenty-four years ago. Five children came to this home: Estella and Sadie with whom she resided at the time of her death; Percy of Superior; Clara McFarland of Mt. Clare; and John of Denver. She with her husband and children came to Nuckolls county (sic) in the pioneer days, locating on the farm where the Beulah church (sic) was erected. She was a member of this church at the time of her death. During the hardships and privations of pioneer life her faith in her God and Savior never wavered. After her husband's death she moved to Ruskin where she lived twelve years, then moving to Lincoln where she made her home the remainder of her lifetime. She was taken suddenly ill Friday, October 28, and a day later developed pneumonia which resulted in her death Wednesday morning, November 2nd.

She was a patient sufferer, never complaining - just waiting for the final summons. Funeral services were conducted in the Lincoln home Thursday afternoon by Rev. S. Morrow. The body was brought overland Friday to the Beulah church (sic), where the services were again conducted by the Rev. Doig with Rev. S.H. Jones of Nelson, assisting. Burial was in Beulah cemetery (sic).

Card of Thanks.

We desire to take this opportunity to express our thanks and appreciation for the sympathy extended and for the floral offerings of the friends and of the organizations; to the ministers who gave comfort, the singers, and all those who assisted in any way in the home during the time of our sorrow.
