Baird - Minor Wedding.

Last night occurred a beautiful wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Minor. The large porch on the east side of the residence was most artistically decorated with sweet peas and asparagus, and it was here the ceremony was performed. It was nine o'clock when the sixty, or more, guests had all arrived and soon the sweet strains of the wedding march were heard in the parlor where Clara Smith presided in her usual able manner. A hush went over the crowd as Mrs. Guy Minor, the brides maid, and Ralph Minor, a brother of the bride, who acted as the grooms "best man," were seen approaching, immediately preceded by the Rev. H.S. Johnston. The groom was the next to reach the door way followed closely by the young lady of his choice. Upon reaching their appropriate places on the porch, the minister approached them and in a few well chosen words pronounced Percival M. Baird and Nelle Minor man and wife and asked the Giver of all good things to bestow upon them the blessings of a long and happy union. After congratulations had been extended, all retired to the dining room where ice cream, wafers and punch were served. Battery Z, a secret society of young bachelor maids of which the bride was a member until last night rendered a beautiful appropriate song.

These young people are known to almost every one here and all will join us in wishing for them much happiness. A reception will be given them to-night at the home of S.C. Baird in Alban, the groom's father. Mr. and Mrs. Baird will make their home in Superior.
