LeRoy was born in Pritchett into a large loving farming family, in the Center Point Community. They were a close-knit, hardworking family, and they all loved to sing harmony together.

LeRoy married Nola Holloway, daughter of Carl Holloway and "Miss Annie" Holloway. Mr. Holloway was the preacher at the local Church of Christ in Prichett most of his lifetime, where all the family were lifetime members.

Leroy and Nola had two children; Johny Carl a son, and Billie Nell, a daughter.

LeRoy lived all his life in Pritchett at the end of Holloway Road. He was a farmer and rancher, and during school season, he would drive the children in the community to school and back in the school bus.

His brothers and sisters were Anna Lou, Raymond, Maxey, Doris,Myrtice,SJ, Eunice, and Ocie. A sister, Loyce, died as a small child.
