She had several brothers and sisters, and the entire family loved to sing together, Their mother, who was from the well-known singing Morgan family, encouraged them to sing at an early age. Maxey had a lovely alto voice.
She married B.W. Seago, Jr. Maxey and "Seag" had no children of their own, but always had nieces and nephews around as they loved children. They raised Rat Terrier puppies for many years, and usually took them everywhere with them. The family all moved to Houston after 1930. Wilson("Seag")and Maxey operated a service station and boat dealership on the corner of Main & Houston in Houston for many years.
