Funeral rites for J. E. (Lige) Martin, aged 69 years, native of Retreat, who died at his home, 612 North Twelfth street Tuesday afternoon, are scheduled Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the Corley Funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Hamilton cemetery.
The services will be conducted by Rev. W. T. Allmon, Baptist minister. Surviving are his wife of Corsicana; six children, Mrs. D. S.Hinesley, Corsicana; Mrs. John L. Sullivan, Fort Wayne, Ind.; A. F. Martin, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Floyd E. Knotts. Overton; Mrs. Homer E. Gentsch, Gladewater, and Alvin Martin, Corpus Christi; a sister, Mrs. Jack Hays,
Corsicana; two brothers, Boy Martin, Fort Worth, and Dock J. Martin, Corsicana; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Walter Beeman, Frank Irwin, Seth Story, Preston L. Brown, Frank Coffey, Alf Parker, Earl Ingham and
L. E. Knotts.
