Helen E. Zimmerman, age 96, of Eaton, OH, died Sunday June 22, 2008 at her residence in Eaton. She was born on April 27, 1912 near Eldorado, OH, Monroe Township in Preble County, daughter of the late Alva Baxter & Lucetta Blanche Deem Horine. Helen was a Beauty Shop operator in Richmond, IN, retiring in 1992 after 30 years of service. Member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton, Preble County Historical Society Volunteer and Volunteer for 14 years at the Once Around Shop in the food bank in Eaton. Preceded in death by her husband: Vernon R. "Scooter" Zimmerman in 1969; brothers: Dwight Horine, Raymond Horine, Dale Horine, Alva "Junior" Horine, Jr. and Ralph L. Horine.

She is survived by sisters & brothers-in-law: Thelma Agne of Battle Creek, MI, Mary Alice Davenport of Dallas, TX, Phyllis Jean DeHart of Eaton, OH, Doris "Dot" & Raymond Clark of Eaton, OH and Joan & Hayden Schultz of Palmetto, FL. Brother: Robert Horine of Eaton, OH. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 - 11:00 a.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Steven G. Cann officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
