David Louis (Lou) Jarrell, 81 years old retired farmer of Route 1, Bloomfield; died at 12:45 a.m. January 6, 1968 in the Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born October 4, 1886 near Dexter and had been a resident of Bloomfield and Dexter areas his entire life. On September 9, 1915 he married Miss Ada Villa Harris at Bloomfield.

Survivors include his wife, nine children, Lee J. and Dwight Jarrell, Mrs. Marjorie Black, and Mrs. June Culbertson all of Bloomfield; Billy Jarrell, Dexter; Mrs. Louise Losh of Eminence; Mrs. Irene Spranger of Racine, Wis.; Mrs. Ernestine Ward, Lansing, Michigan and Mrs. Myrtle Whitmeyer, Marcellus, Michigan; one brother, Lige Jarrell, Dexter, Missouri; 42 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. Brother Raymond Duffey will officiate and burial will be in the Hagy Cemetery near Dexter. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.; Sunday in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
