My grandmother; Nancy Arbelle Shipman Jarrell, her Father was William Shipman he is buried in what at one time was the Old Dejournett Cemetery since abandoned in the late 40s or early 50s and was located on the Walter Frank farm north of Dexter. I was told by a son of Walter Frank that after his father purchased the farm he plowed all the headstones and the fence surrounding the grave of my Great-Grandfather William Shipman and his son my Great-Uncle Moses Shipman and others into a fence row and farmed the ground where they are buried. Sadly we are unable to mark his final resting place because of the loss of this cemetery location.
