Billy G. Jarrell, son of the late Lou David and Ada Harris Jarrell, was born on Aug. 4, 1933, in Stoddard County and died at his home on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the age of 77.

Mr. Jarrell worked in concrete construction for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jarrell lived his whole life in the north Stoddard County area.

He was united in marriage to Joanne Fletcher on April 15, 1960, in Bloomfield.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Fletcher Jarrell of Bloomfield; two sons, Tony Gene Jarrell of Bernie and Billy Joe Jarrell of Bloomfield; one daughter, Penny L. Johnson of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Losh of Stratton and June Culbertson of Bloomfield; and one brother, Dwight Jarrell of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by three brothers, L.D., Jack and Henry Jarrell; and four sisters, Myrtle Whitmeyer, Marjorie Black, Irene Spranger and May E. Ward.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral Services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Interment followed at the Hagy Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
