She was born Nov. 1, 1910, Meade Co. KY the daughter of the late William S. Curl and Mary Florence Chism Curl.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Leonard Smith; 6 children, Mrs Robert (Rose) Harrell, Battletown, Mrs Noble (Marie) Golden, Henryville, IN, Mrs Louis Ray (Carolyn) Carter, Shepherdsville, Mrs Robert (Ruth Mae) Singleton, and Mr. William Gene Smith, Battletown. one sister, Mrs. Maude Daum, Cannelton, IN.; on brother, Mr. Ben Curl, Battletown; also survived by 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Mr. Ed Curl and Mr. Lee Curl preceded their sister in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:p.m. Wed. Mar 1, 1972 from jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Van Buren Keys officiating. Interment was in Parr Cemetery directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. (Meade Co. Messenger)
