She was born September 7, 1917 in Lyman, Utah to Hazel Allen and David Callahan. She was the 2nd of nine children.
She married J. Hyrum Pierce on July 13, 1934, later solemnized in the Manti Temple, he died June, 1940. She married Fred R. Allen on December 13, 1941, he died on April 5, 1995.
Thisbe is survived by six of her seven children, Ted H. (Lorraine) Pierce, Jerry (Jan) Pierce, Hazel Pierce (Jim) Nelson, Kay Allen (Rex) Frehner, Fred N. (Judy) Allen, Charlotte Allen (John) Archer; stepchildren, Joe Zaugg, Marie Hill and Blanche Kohler. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 79 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Baldwin, Velma (Bill) Abner and Glenda Garlock. Preceded in death by daughter, Margaret; three brothers and one sister and three grandchildren, Cliff and Kelly Craig and Anita Hunsaker.
Thisbe was a lifelong and proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was truly a unique individual with many friends and widely known for her wise counsel. She was a loving mother who always put her children's needs above her own. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.), where Friends and Family may call Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the Services.
Interment: South Jordan City Cemetery.
