Glenda Dell Callahan Garlock

Pleasant View – Glenda Dell Callahan Garlock passed away early in the morning on the 7th of December 2008. She was born on the 13th of January 1926 in Lyman, Utah to David John Callahan and Hazel Dell Allen. She married Max Allison Garlock, July 5, 1946 in Riverton, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She grew up in Riverton and later lived in Pleasant View for 35 years. She graduated from Jordan High School and attended Weber State University.

Glenda was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for many years and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in the Relief Society and Primary in her ward.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor and friend.

She is survived by her children Connie Johns (TX), Max Garlock of Clearfield, Darlene Gould (NV) and Dan Garlock (OH). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister Wilma Baldwin (NV).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Trudy and Karen; granddaughter Jennifer; sisters Velma, Thisbe, Vadas and June; her brothers Trenton, Darrell and Delano.

Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant View 12th Ward, 2975 No. 1000 W. on Friday, Dec. 12th at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden on Thursday, Dec. 11th from 7-9 p.m. and Friday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park.
