Services for William G. (Billy) Raney, 68, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Mike Stowell, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Keithville, LA, assisted by Rev. Ray Raney, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Bossier City. Burial will be at Centuries Memorial Park with Masonic Rites being observed. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Mr. Raney, a life long resident of Shreveport, LA, died Sunday, July 11, 1999 after a sudden illness. He was born in Shreveport, LA. He was a retired owner of Paint and Body Shop. Mr. Raney was a Baptist, a member of American Legion Post #14, Temple Masonic Lodge #448 in Bossier City, Scottish Rites, and El Karubah, he was also a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bessie Raney and his brothers, Shelton and Cecil Raney, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Walton Raney of Shreveport; one son, Danny Raney of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Ashley, Shelly, Karley and Kelley Raney; two sisters, Frances Jeter and Helen Hailey; two brothers, Charles Raney and Jimmy Raney.

Pallbearers will be Randy Tullis, Rusty Tullis, Ronnie Raney, Jody Raney and Rick Raney.
