Funeral services for Cecil G. Raney Sr., 63, of 4468 S. Lakeshore Dr., who died Friday night, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Dwire-Gentry Funeral Chapel.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in Forest Park.
Mr. Raney died at Confederate Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired auto mechanic for the Raney Auto Paint & Body Shop and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Raney of Shreveport; five sons, Shelton, Billy, Cecil, Jimmy and Charles Raney, all of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Haley of Shreveport and Mrs. Frances Springer of Houston, Tex.; four brothers, G. O. and August Raney, both of Shreveport, Leland and Curtis Raney, both of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Smith of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Stella McCollum of Flint; and 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Edward Kenaghan, J. Edward Morneav, Wilson Brooks, Robert P. Burns, Ralph G. McCrary and Early J. Munch.
