Arthur Alvey

Arthur Glen Alvey of Brown County died May 18, 2003, at his residence. He was 48.

Mr. Alvey was born April 4, 1955, in Brown County and was the son of William Robert Alvey and Stella Gertrude (Hatton) Alvey. They preceded him in death.

He was in the Army National Guard in 1976. He worked for Cosco in the shipping and receiving department in Columbus.

Survivors include: one son, Benjamin Chance Alvey of Illinois; fiancé, Sherry Rae Bornman of Nashville; five brothers, Ora Alvey, Jim Alvey, Sam Alvey, Ron Alvey, all of Brown County, and Paul Alvey of Columbus; five sisters, Corene Greathouse of Brown County, Nellie McQueary, Annie Purdue, Phyllis Garard, Nora Sebastain, all of Columbus.

A service will be Wednesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Dahlquist officiating.

The burial will be at the Christiansburg Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Brown County Humane Society, in care of the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville.
