COLUMBUS — Sam Keith Alvey, 59, of Columbus, died Friday at his residence.

He worked at Cummins Engine and had worked for Tipton Lakes Landscaping.

Survivors include five sisters, Corene Greathouse of Brown County, Nellie McQueary, Annie Purdue, Phyllis Garard and Nora Sebastian, all of Columbus; and two brothers, Ora Alvey of Nashville and Paul Alvey of Columbus.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial will be at Christiansburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until services Thursday at the funeral home.
