Erna Drohman, daughter of Edward Ferdinand Tamme and Margareta Rebecca Meyer Tamme was born in Madison, Nebraska, April 2, 1906. She was baptized April 22, 1906, and confirmed May 16, 1920, in the Lutheran faith and remained a faithful member of the Lutheran Church.

The family moved to Deshler in 1914 where she attended Parochial School. She worked at the Deshler Rustler setting print and the Broom Factory until she married.

On September 25, 1927, she was united in marriage to Elvin Harvey Drohman of Deshler in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Deshler. They lived on farms in Oak, Edgar, Davenport and Angus Communities until 1971 when they moved to Davenport.

Preceding her in death were her husband Elvin (Jack); her parents; three sisters, Augusta Brennan, Clara Flower and Katherine Benker; four brothers, Frank, Carl, Ludwig and Walter; and a granddaughter, Robin Drohman.

Survivors are four children, Glen of Lincoln, Virgil of Boulder, Colorado, Loren of Nelson and Mrs. Wayne (Karen) Gross of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Deuel of Davenport, Lydia Hillman of Deshler and Marie Secrest of Davenport.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 1989, at 2 p.m. from the Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport. Pastor Don L. Hunzeker officiated.

Alfred Hanson sang The Lords Prayer and In the Garden. Doris Keim was the organist. Casketbearers were Ronnie Drohman, Edward Durre, Douglas Drohman, Gary Drohman, Rodney Drohman, Bruce Oster, Brian Gross, Kevin Stout and Daniel Johnson.

Burial was in the Davenport Cemetery.

Urbauer Funeral Home of Davenport was in charge of arrangements.
