William M. (Snap) Davis, 105, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Modale, died on July 6, at the Council Bluffs Care Center. Snap was born on January 26, 1884 in Modale to Richard and Susan Davis. Snap worked for the railroad and did farm labor, retiring when he was 85 years old. Funeral services were held on July 11, at the Hennessey, VanCleave and Hurley Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Associate Minister Randy Youngblood officated at the service. Interment was in the Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley. Hennessey, VanCleave and Hurley Funeral Home of Missouri Valley, handled the arragements. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Elva and Don Alexander of Lake wood, CA, and Virgil Marie (Tommy) and Bill Davis of El Cajon, CA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
