She was born on May 17, 1953, in Magee to her parents, Walter R. Bishop and Margaret Ella Jones. Her family moved to Prentiss when she was two years old. She was of the Christian faith having been baptized at an early age.
Margaret was a U.S. Army veteran with eight years of service. For the past 20 years she considered herself a professional gambler. At the time of her death, she was doing what she loved best, casino hopping.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Mark Roy Mrstik II; brothers, Richard Bishop and Danny Bishop and sisters, Pat Bishop Holden and Linda Bishop Hester.
Survivors are her daughters, Erika Mrstik Lovell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Patti Bourn Dyess of Columbia.
She is also survived by her brother, Ray Bishop (Nancy) of Mendenhall; her sisters, Betty Bishop Robbins of Carson and Myrtis Bishop Craig (Ed) of Rossville, Georgia, and her nine grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank her good friend, Melissa Jones and the North Tunica Fire Department in Robinsonville.
A memorial service will be held in Prentiss next year. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends in Tunica.
