Gretchen L. Sells, 85, of Pittsburg, Kansas died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday April 6, 2008 at the Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.
She was born September 10, 1922 in Midway, Kansas, the daughter of Orval and Mary Jane (Price) Davidson.
She was a lifetime resident of the Southeast Kansas Area. She attended Cherokee High School.
Gretchen married Jess Sells on November 29, 1939 in Girard, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2001.
She was a homemaker and past members of AARP and the senior citizens.
Survivors include a son Tom Sells and wife Kathy of Pittsburg, KS; 3 brothers Shorty and Galen Davidson both of Pittsburg, KS, and Oliver Davidson of Radley, KS; 2 sisters Velda Pitts of Stockton, MO, and Mary Ann Swartz of Pittsburg, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers Lyle and Chubb Davidson; and 3 sisters Doris Morris, Elfie Sprague, and Mildred Colles.
Funeral services will be Saturday April 12, 2008 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, Kansas with Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be to the Alzheimer's Association and may be brought by or mailed to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762.
