Grandpa is the 7th of eleven children born to Joseph Anson 'Joe' WALKER (1856 IA - 1950 WA) and Effie Mae CARPENTER (1867 KS - 1955 KS)

He married Ruby Ethel STEWART (1903 OK - 1995 TX) in Wanette, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, on 12 Oct 1924. They divorced when I was a child. Lawrence and Ruby had six (6) children, two (2) of whom are still living.

Grandpa m(2) Eula Grace 'Gracie' (HATCHER-BELL) RAMSDALE (1898 NM - 1975 TX) on 17 Dec 1959 in Las Cruces, Dona Ana County, New Mexico. Gracie was the widow of George L. RAMSDALE (1890 NM - 1953 TX).

LAWRENCE E. WALKER, 86, passed away Sunday, June 12, 1983. Resident of El Paso for 40 years. Retired from S.P.R.R. Member of Five Points Lodge #1137 AF & AM, El Maida Temple and Scottish Rite Bodies. He is survived by his children {all still living}, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, sisters Evalina Hammond, Fairy Lane, both of Wichita, Kansas, Ellene Wilson, Pueblo, Colorado. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Rev. DeWayn Richardson officiating. Military honors will be accorded. Arrangements by Kaster, Maxon, & Futrell Downtown Chapel. 201 E. Yandell 532-3431
