S. C. Harper, for over 40 years a citizen here, died at his home at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. Death was caused by old age.
Samuel Columbus Harper was the son of Allen and Mary Harper and was born Nov. 16, 1854. He was married Oct. 15, 1882, to Mary Melissa Craig.
Besides the widow, three daughters survive, Mrs. Maude Boggs, Atlanta, and Mrs. A. J. Abrams and Mrs. James Gaddis of Hudson. there are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
