1969 Stillwater News Press Obituary, Sunday, July 13th: Albert Wesley Stokes, 53, Rt. 1, Glencoe, died Friday at University Hospital in Oklahoma City, leaving many sad and lonely hearts as he was a joy to be around and loved to visit. Funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the First Christian Church in Glencoe of which he was a member. Burial at Glencoe I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Stokes was born Jan. 1, 1916, son of Ernest and Ilah Stokes, Rt. 1, Glencoe. Both survive.

Other survivors include: four brothers, Verlin Stokes, Towanda, Kan.; Lester Stokes, Glencoe; Estie Stokes, Glencoe; Sam Stokes, Alva, Okla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Clarice Simmons, Tulsa; and Mrs. Ruth McGee, Tulsa.
