Funeral services for Donald Blake, 10 -year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blake of Pownal, who was drowned Friday night in Barber's Lake, were held Tuesday afternoon from San Soucie Funeral Home in North Adams. Burial was in Southview Cemetery.
The Rev. Clyde R. Sumner, Methodist pastor, officiated.
Besides his parents, he leaves his grandmother, Mrs. Linwood Richards of North Adams; a brother, Herbert, Jr.: eight sisters, Judith and Carol, who live at home; Mrs. George Pratt, Jr. , Mrs. Francis Haley and Mrs. Dewey Jones, all of Pownal; Mrs. Anna Cook and Mrs. Donald Courtot of North Adams and Mrs. Albert Nolli of Pittsfield, Mass.
Donald was born in North Adams before moving to Pownal in 1947. In Pownal he attended Oak Hill School. His mother is the former Miss Eva Chalifoux of North Adams.
