Zelma, 85, of Barry, formerly of Baylis and Mount Sterling,IL died in the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born in McKee Township, Adams County, the daughter of George and Josephine Anna Mixer Goertz. Zelma was the sister of Wilbur Goertz of Clayton, Doris Pruett of Abingdon, Stella Goertz, Edna Parn of Clayton and Irene Evans of Camp Point.

She married Marion L. Syrcle on Jan. 25, 1936, in Quincy, IL. He died March 18, 1981. They had three children; Donald, Wilma and Ronald.

She married Frank Husemann April 24, 1982, in Hull, IL. He died Sept. 11, 1992.

Zelma was a homemaker. In earlier years she was employed by Hubbard Nursing Home in Barry and the Community Care Systems in Pike County. She attended Adams County schools and Baylis High School.

She was a member of Hull Nazarene Church and had attended Mount Sterling Nazarene Church. She was a member of the Beverly Home Extension, the Domestic Science Club in Baylis and the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
