She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was also a temple worker in the Ogden and Brigham City Temples for many years. She was a member of the Box Elder County Symphonic Choir, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the Brigham City Ladies Community Club. After being nominated for the Mother of the Year Award by the Brigham City Ladies Community Club and the Civic Improvement Club, she was selected as the Brigham City Mother of the Year in 2013.
Ella Mae had many interests: she was a great artist and loved painting for the family. She was an active gardener with a beautiful garden, fruit trees, and flowers. She loved to sing with the Box Elder Symphonic Choir and was an accomplished genealogist.
Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She bore 11 children, nine of which survived.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters, two husbands, two infant children, two grandchildren, and a grandson-in-law.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
