George Nathaniel Roberts, 89, of St. Augustine, died March 5, 2008, at Flagler Hospital. Mr. Roberts was a native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine. Mr. Roberts was retired from Desco Marine in St. Augustine and received a Purple Heart while serving his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Craig Funeral Home. Officiating: The Rev. David Beecher, pastor. Burial: Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery.
Survivors: His wife, Dorothy Roberts; daughter, Julie Roberts; sons, Larry and Allan Roberts; sister, Jeanette Goodwin, all of St. Augustine; brother, Clement Roberts, Palm Coast; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
