Gloria Jeanette Goodwin, 88, of St. Augustine, passed away on Dec. 17, 2018, at Moultrie Creek Nursing Home with her family by her side. Gloria was the youngest of 10 children born to William and Carrie (Stratton) Roberts. She was a native and lifelong resident of St Augustine. Gloria attended Ketterlinus High School and at the age of 17 married Ralph Mason Goodwin. She and Ralph enjoyed a 60 year marriage before he preceded her in death in 2007. Jeanette was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and raised a family of five children. While her greatest joy and purpose in life was to care for her husband and children, Gloria worked outside the home as well. She worked as a book binder with Dobbs Book Binding, retiring after 30 years of service.

Gloria had a strong faith and loved to sing her favorite hymns. She was an active member of First Christian Church (now Homeport Church) where she sang in the choir for many years. Gloria will be remembered for the love and care for her family and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by a son, Darrell (June) Goodwin of Seneca, S.C.; daughter, Elaine (Ted) Lunestad of St. Augustine, daughter-in-law, Kathie Goodwin of St. Augustine, daughter, Pamela Stephens of St. Augustine, son, Chris Goodwin of St. Augustine; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her son Ricky Goodwin, and a daughter who died at birth.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
