Born Aug 25, 1885, Holt Ranch, Washington County, to George Albert and Nancy Jane Hunt Holt. Married Mary Estella Adams, Oct 1906, Salt Lake Temple. She died March 9, 1954. Married Martha Bradshaw Wood, 7 Jun 1944, she died Oct 1964. Married Mary Morris Holt, May 1966. Rancher; farmer owner-manager Holt Grocery and Blue Bird Cafe; member LDS Church; counselor in YMMIA; high priest president, member Enterprise Town Board.

ST. GEORGE - The Utah Highway Patrol Friday recorded a two-car collision that took the life of a St. George man Monday.
Joseph W. Holt, 85, died when a car driven by his wife, Mary Jean Morris Holt, 75, pulled onto U.S. 91 from Utah 18 into the path of another car.
Mrs. Holt suffered brusies and abrasions, but the occupants of hte other car were unhurt. They were Marines from a base in Yuma, Ariz., Harold W. Simpson, 20 of Bountiful and David Maw, 21. Officer Joe Hutchings of the St. George Police Department investigated.
