He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Hodson Locklear and Mrs. Naomi Locklear; one son, Mr. James Ray Locklear; four sisters, Mrs. Pansy Sampson, Mrs. Zelma Maynor, Mrs. Juanita Sampson, and Mrs. Ronnie Allen; two brothers, Mr. Thurman and Mr. Willavery Locklear.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Barbara Locklear of the home; two sons, Mr. Ricky Locklear (Lisa) and Gene Locklear (Debbie); one daughter, Earlena McNeill (Mickey); two brothers, Mr. Carson Locklear (Zillie) and Mr. Hosbie Locklear (Carlan); two sisters, Mrs. Joan Campbell (Douglas) and Mrs. Helen Hunt; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of friends.
