He moved to Jefferson Co KY with his parents about 1813, when they sold their Somerset County land. He married, about 1836, probably in Oldham or Jefferson Co KY, Amelia Speer, daughter of John and Mary Barbary (Grove) Speer, born 26 Jan 1818 at Floydsburg, Jefferson Co KY, and died 14 Aug 1854 in Oldham Co KY. Amelia was the mother of his children. Her parents' graves are both listed here (#42986049 and #42986065), buried at Floydsburg Cemetery, Oldham Co KY, where Amelia was probably also buried.
