Clayton James Arnett of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Lewis T. Arnett and Mary Goldie Nelson Arnett, was born Saturday, September 9, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at his home. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Holly Grove Baptist Church. He was a tractor mechanic for many years and worked at the John Deere Garage in Greensburg and Hardyville. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: two daughters and a son-in-law: twelve grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; four sisters: two brothers: and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Martha Edwards and Virginia Akin; five brothers: Frank Arnett, Woodson Arnett, Robert Arnett, Carl Arnett, and Edgar Arnett. The funeral services for Clayton James Arnett will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Friday until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Koairs Children's Hospital Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
