Mr. Lewis Thomas Arnett, son of the late Mr. Stamp Arnett and Mrs. Susan Berry Arnett, was born 18 Jul 1904 in Green Co. and departed this life Sat. 19 Dec [1987] at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. He was 83 years, 5 months and 1 day of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Mary Goldie Nelson 21 Feb 1923 and she preceded him in death 2 Aug 1986. To this union was born 8 sons and 6 daughters: Robert and Frank Arnett, both of Campbellsville; Woodson, Ed, Carl and Raymond Arnett, all of Greensburg; Clayton Arnett, Magnolia, and Noah Arnett, Crail Hope; Mrs. Virginia Akin, Mrs. Ruth Simpson, Mrs. Nettie Creason, all of Greensburg; Mrs. Martha Edwards, Rt. 1, Magnolia; Mrs. Katherine Simpson, Central City. And Mrs. Ruby Milby, Summersville.

Mr. Arnett united in marriage to Mrs. Gladys Kemp Curry, 16 Apr 1977 who survives. He is also survived by 6 step-daughters: Mrs. Bernice Risen, Mrs. Ruth Keltner, Mrs. Joyce Bagby, all of Greensburg; Mrs. Patsy Parson and Mrs. Phyllis Willis, both of Columbia, and Mrs. Charlene Keltner, Indiana; 36 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Lewis Arnett were conducted at 10 am Mon 21 Dec at the Cowherd and Parrott funeral Home with Rev. Gleason Bloyd officiating. Burial was in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Junior Bryant, Danny Bryant, Joe Shirley, Robert Buck, Ronnie Geary and Bobby Geary.
