Sara Frances (Fran) Cosden (nee Sever) of Edgewater Park, died Wednesday, February 6th at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.
Born on March 15, 1922 in Medford, NJ, she had been a former resident of Beverly before moving to Edgewater Park in 1957, where she remained a resident until her death. A loving wife, mother and homemaker, Fran was a very active woman. Early in her adult life, she had worked for Wall Rope Co. in Beverly during World War II. She was a fifty year member of the Beverly Presbyterian Church, a volunteer at the Burlington Library and had been a member of the Beverly-Maqueda Chapter #276, O.E.S. An avid bridge player, Fran loved antiquing with her husband, doing crossword puzzles and cross stitch needle work and in her spare time, communicating with family and friends in a way that has all but vanished. hand written letters.
Preceded in death by her husband, William B. Cosden and her son, James Cosden. She is survived by her son, Richard of Edgewater Park; her daughter-in-law, Susan Cosden-Rosner of Moorestown; two grandchildren, Olivia Cosden and William Cosden; three step grand-children: Michael Cosden, Christian Cosden and Rachel Bernacki.
