Lula was the daughter of Jonathan T. Yarian and Elizabeth Catherine Clingaman.

Chidren of Floyd and Lula:
William Gerald Hartzler (1916-1989)
Donna Pauline Hartzler Hively (1921-unk)
(Donna married Lloyd "Bud" Hively)

Miami County Sentinel:
Lulu Eldora Yarian, youngest daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth Yarian, was born near Roann, Ind., April 27th, 1894, and departed this life December 15th, 1921, at her home near Gilead, Ind., aged twenty-seven years, seven months and eighteen days. In the early spring of 1907 she dedicated her life to God, uniting with the Niconza Baptist Church and in God's Golden book of life there is a bright page which tells the beautiful story of fourteen years of faithful life.
October 30, 1913 she was united in marriage to Floyd Hartzler, and to that union were born two children, William Gerald, now aged five years, and Donna Pauline, now aged seven weeks. Besides the bereaved husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss, mother, father, one sister, Mrs. Ida Miller, of Roann; brothers Edward E. of Disko; John H. of Roann, and J. Ellsworth at home, also many relatives and countless friends, won by her spirit of friendliness and love.
Many tributes might be paid, many words might be spoken, but the most beautiful homage that we may give her memory is that--God never sent to earth a truer mother, a more faithful wife, or a more dutiful daughter.
