Edward E. Yarian, 75, Roann, retired Roann merchant, died unexpectedly of a heart attack about 10:30 p.m., Thursday as he was being taken to the Wabash County Hospital. He had been in ill health several years.
Mr. Yarian had spent his lifetime in the Roann community.
He was born April 25, 1888, the son of Jonathan T. and Elizabeth (Clingaman) Yarian. He was married in 1911 in North Manchester to Nondus Miller, who died in April 1961.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Novelle Yarian, Roann and Mrs. Richard Johnson, Route 1, Wabash; a son, Eddie G. Yarian, Huntington, W VA; a brother and sister, J. Ellsworth Yarian, Flora, and Mrs. Ida Miller, Route 1, Roann, and four grandchildren.
Mr. Yarian was a member of the Niconza Baptist Church and Roann Masonic and IOOF Lodges.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Brethren Church of Roann. The Rev. Herbert Gilmer and Dr. George Cartwright, Wabash, will officiate and burial will be in the Roann IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Grandstaff Funeral Home, Roann, after noon Saturday. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the services.

Lorin Tomlinson, Mark Dawald, George Dawald Jr., Dick Dawald, Gerald Hartzler and Avery Miller served as pallbearers. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery.
