Elizabeth was the daughter of John Clingaman and Mahala Hower.
She married on May 29, 1887, to Jonathan T. Yarian.

Rochester News-Sentinel, Sat, May 18, 1940:
Roann, May 18 -- Mrs. Elizabeth C. Yarian, 70, a resident of this county for 32 years, died early Friday morning at her home north of Roann.
She had been ill more than a year.
The body was taken to the Grandstaff funeral home and was later removed to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Russell Miller, north of Roann. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Niconza Baptist church. Rev. Jesse Squires will officiate, assisted by the Rev. George Cain. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Roann.
The daughter of John and Mahala Hower Clingaman, she was born in Miami county on Sept. 7, 1869. On May 27, 1887, she was married to Jonathon Yarian. He died 10 years ago.
Mrs. Yarian was a member of the Niconza Baptist church and the Ladies Aid society.
Surviving are the following children: Edward C. Yarian, John H. Yarian, Mrs. Russell Miller, all of Roann; Jack B. Yarian, Flora; five brothers, Henry Clingaman and John S. Clingaman of Miami County; J. E. Clingaman of Roann; Charles Clingaman of Peru; Samuel Clingaman of Miami county, 13 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Elizabeth Yarian Dies
Mrs. Elizabeth Yarian, 69, widow of J. T. Yarian, died of a complication of ailments this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Miller, near Roann.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Niconza Baptist church. The Rev. Jesse Squires, of Wolcott, and the Rev. George Cain of Amboy, will officiate and interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Roann.
Born in Perry township, Sept. 7, 1870, the deceased was a daughter of the late John and Mahala (Hower) Clingaman. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include four children, Mrs. Miller and Edward Yarian and John Yarian, both of Roann, and the Rev. J. E. Yarian, of Sharon, Ind.
Surviving also are five brothers, Henry Clingaman and J. E. Clingaman, both of Roann; Sherman Clingaman and Samuel Clingaman, both of Denver, and Charles D. Clingaman, of Peru, together with 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was the daughter of John Clingaman and Mahala Hower.
