Funeral services for Margaret Murray Harrison, who died Saturday in Roosevelt of a cerebral hemorrhage, where held Wednesday at the Lapoint LDS Chapel with Bishop L. J. Walker in charge.
The home prayer was offered by Bishop Walker and the invocation by Orville Swain. Speakers were John B. Eaton, Bishop Ernest Johnson and Bishop Walker and the benediction was given by Joseph Horrocks.
The Lapoint choir sang three numbers: "Unanswered, Yet," Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Truth Reflects Upon Our Senses." A poem "My Mother," was read by Mrs. Ora Swain and a duet, "The Old Rudded Cross," was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor.
Burial was in the Maeser Cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Jerry Harrison. Pallbearers were six grandsons: Lorin Edward Williams, Frank Jenkins Jr., Hayden C. Harrison, William Sorenson, Reed Harrison and Murray Harrison.
Mrs. Harrison was born September 9, 1876, in Spanish Fork, a daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Ashby Murray. She moved to Ashley Valley in her early childhood.
She was married to Peter Harrison November 7, 1892, in Vernal. The couple moved to Lapoint in 1919, where she has been an active member of the Lapoint LDS Ward.
Survivors include nine sons and daughters: Jeremiah Harrison and Mrs. Mabel Jenkins, Lapoint; Mrs. Zina Anderson and Mrs. Ruth Williams, Vernal; Carl Harrison and Mrs. Frances Horrocks, Roosevelt; Russell Harrison, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Pearl Sorenson, Las Vegas, Nevada and Morgan Harrison, Bingham; 40 grandchildren and four brothers, Joseph Murray, Sacramento, California and William Hatch and John Murray, Vernal.
Relatives and friends from out-of-town attending the services were: Mrs. Pearl H. Sorenson, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Harrison and family, Bingham, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Harrison, Salt Lake City; Sergeant and Mrs. John T.
