Glen Leo Stricker, 92, passed away on August 17, 2022, in rural Barton County. He was born on January 20, 1930, to Gottfried & Amalia "Mollie" (Niedenthal) Stricker. He married Norma Karst on September 28, 1952, at Bender Hill Lutheran Church in Russell County, Kan.

A longtime Great Bend resident, Glen was a contractor for G&L Construction and Hubert Bender Home Builders. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and VFW Post #3111 in Great Bend. He enjoyed gardening, genealogy, fishing, farming and spending time with his family. Glen was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean war, also being stationed in Saudi Arabia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey Stricker, Gottfried "Fritz" Stricker Jr., and an infant brother, Henry Hubert Stricker; sisters, Rozella Van Reenan and Helena "Helen" Michaelis; and a grandson, Jared Axman.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Great Bend with Pastor Adam Wutka presiding. Interment will be in Golden Belt Memorial Park in Great Bend with Military Rites conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard. Memorials have been designated to St. Mark Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
